1. Training
Premier soccer is a high-level youth soccer in the state. It entails year around commitment. Teams train a minimum of two times per week and in some cases three times per week for 1.5hours. At Michigan Power Futbol Academy we emphasize the players' technical development as well as team-related tactical insights within the segments of the game.
Select teams typically train two times per week. Length of training sessions varies per age group but it does not exceed 1.5 hours.
The level of competition in tournaments and in league play presents the biggest difference between the premier and select Ievels.

2. Teams
For the most part recreational teams PRIMARY focus is to offer a fun-filled environment for players. Teams are formed based on sign-ups and pre-existing friendships or social ties.
In Club soccer players are chosen (selected) for positions on teams using a means of assessment, such as a tryout. Positions on teams are secured based on performance. Clubs offer tryouts for teams in both genders and age-specific groups. Try-outs are the main selection process for teams in a travel program.
3. Coaches
Michigan Power Futbol Academy club coaches are licensed professionals that have extensive playing and coaching experiences at various levels. Our primary goal is to offer professional coaching. Our coaches are compensated for their services. Compensation varies based on licensing level and experience. We value the United States Soccer Federation as well as the United Soccer Coaches licensing paths for coaching education.
In most cases, recreational teams are coached by volunteer coaches. They often parents, family members, neighbors, or anyone else with time and energy to devote their program. Their experience level in coaching soccer may vary.
4. Commitment Level and Attendance

5. Contract
Competitive players' parents sign a contract for a full year agreeing to both expectations and financial commitments.
Select players' parents agree to expectations and financial commitments when signing up their child.
6. Cost
Club soccer is more expensive in comparison to recreational soccer. The additional fees, in club soccer cover coaching fees by a professional staff, higher league fees, higher referee costs, as well as higher administrative fees that cover the day-to-day operations of the organization. All the costs described above are associated with playing at a higher level.
7. Travel
Competitive game travel is rarely more than 180 minutes of Michigan Power Futbol Academyhome fields and requires approximately 50% of games to be away games. Tournament travel can be further, depending on where the tournament location is.
Home games are played at a City of Wyoming-based field or Brewer Park. Occasionally, teams will play a team nearby once or twice per season. The only tournament included in a season is typically no more than 60 minutes away.
Travel in club soccer is a little more extensive. In the younger ages travel is more local. It can become more extensive as the teams become more competitive in the older ages. Year-long team plans presented at the beginning of the year help families in planning out the travel associated with the program.
8. Tournaments
Normally, club teams will attend 1 to 2 tournaments per season. In certain age groups, they will compete In a State Cup tournament.
9. Uniforms
Competitive players are required to wear a training uniform to all training sessions and are required to purchase and wear both home and away games.
